AFIT Post UTME Form : How to Apply and Exam Date for 2019/2020 is Out

AFIT Post UTME Form – Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna, AFIT admission form (Post UTME) for 2019/2020 academic session is now out on sale. The exam date and venue as well as how to apply for the post utme screening has also been announced. Interested candidates are hereby notified.

This is to notify the general public and all candidates, including military personnel, who selected the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Kaduna as their choice of Institution during the last JAMB UTME that the post UTME screening exercise application form is out.

JAMB candidates who did not previously select AFIT as their choice of institution but are desirous of gaining admission into the Institute and have the JAMB UTME cutoff point are to equally prepare to participate in the screening exercise.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates seeking admission into AFIT’s 100 level undergraduate degree and diploma programmes are required to write JAMB UTME examination and AFIT Post-UTME and obtain the minimum departmental cut off mark. All o’level requirements must be obtained in not more than two sittings. Those intending to pursue Postgraduate and 200 level undergraduate degree programmes will be offered direct entry admission if they meet entry requirements. Entry requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered in AFIT are as detailed below:

Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

A minimum of Third Class in first Degree or HND with a minimum of lower credit in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and other related fields.

Masters Programme in Aerospace Engineering

A minimum of Second Class Honours in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/|Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering and Material Science Engineering or Physics.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology,  Aircraft Engineering Technology (Airframe and Power Plant Option), Aircraft Engineering Technology (Avionics Option), Mechanical Engineering Technology (Power and Plant Option), Mechanical Engineering Technology (Manufacturing)

(1)    ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in the relevant field from recognized Polytechnics.

(2)     A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.

(3)    Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any   other  subject from Agricultural Science,  Applied Electricity,  Auto Mechanics, Biology, Building Construction, Chemistry, Electronics, Further Mathematics, Geography, Metalwork,  Physics and Technical Drawing.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes in Purchasing and Supply

(1)   ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in Business Administration and Management from recognized Polytechnics.

(2)   A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.

(3)    O’level credits to include Government or History and any two (2) of Economics, Geography, Civic Education, French, Arabic, Islamic Studies and Christian Religious Studies.

(4)   Evidence of compulsory Industrial Training (IT) or attachment in a reputable Health Institution.

Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programmes in Aircraft Engineering Technology and Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology

(1)   ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Material Science Engineering

(2)   A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.

Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programme in Purchasing and Supply

(1)   ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in any relevant field obtained from recognized polytechnics.

(2)    A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.

How To Apply for AFIT Post UTME

Interested candidates are to visit AFIT portal at www.afitportals.com and proceed as stated therein. To access admission form, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N2, 000 only for undergraduate application and N10, 000 only for postgraduate application using our online payment portal. Applicants for postgraduate programmes are to request their institutions to forward transcripts of their Degree/Diploma certificates by mail to The Registrar, AFIT, PMB 2104, Nigeria Air Force Base, Kaduna.

AFIT Post UTME Screening Dates

The Post UTME/Screening exercise for admission will hold as follow:

Date: 3-9 Sept 2019
Venue: AFIT, Nigerian Air Force Base Kaduna
Time: 9am daily.

Candidates are to attend the exercise with the following:

a. Original copy of 2019 UTME Result slip.
b. Acknowledgement slip printed from AFIT online application portal.

The Screening exercise will be conducted as follows:

a. Engineering Programmes – 3rd September 2019.
b. Science Programmes – 4th September 2019
c. Social and Management Sciences Programmes – 5th September 2019.
d. Post Graduate Programmes – 6th September 2019.

FOR DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

ND candidates who selected AFIT as first choice and whose details have been received from JAMB with a score of or above the JAMB UTME cut-off pass mark would be invited for post-UTME screening scheduled to hold on 9th September 2019 at AFIT, Nigerian Air Force Base Kaduna by 9am. Candidates are to attend the exercise with the following:

  1. Original copy of 2019 UTME Result slip.
  2. Acknowledgement slip printed from AFIT online application portal.
