Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Actuarial Science under the Faculty of Administration in the above Universities include;
Mathematics, Economics and one (1) other subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) UNIJOS requires ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) subjects from Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Business Methods, Statistics, Government or Economics.
(ii) UNILAG requires ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) of Financial Accounting, Data Processing, CRS/IS, Further Mathematics, Geography, Government, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Commerce, Civic Education, Insurance
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Actuarial Science;
You require;Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and Economics plus any other two (2) relevant subjects.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) UNIJOS requires Mathematics and any other two (2) subjects from Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Business Methods, Statistics, Government or Economics.
(ii) UNILAG requires Mathematics, Economics and any one (1) of Geography, Government, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Commerce.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Actuarial Science, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include English Language and Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) UNIJOS accepts
a) Passes at A’ level/IJMB or an approved equivalent examination in Accounting, Business Management or Economics.
b) Holders of the following qualifications may also be considered for admission into 200 level: ND lower credit in Accounting, Financial Studies, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Insurance or any other business course, from any recognized Institutions (Polytechnic, Technical Institutions, e.t.c.).
(ii) LAGOS accepts very good passes in three (3) JUBEB/’A’ Level subjects: Mathematics and any two (2) of Financial Accounting, Geography, Government, Biology, Economics, Business Studies, Chemistry, Physics.
(iii) ABU requires ‘A’ level Mathematics
