NECO Examination Fees – The National Examination Council has made available the Fees payable for all types of examinations conducted by the institution which will help people to know what is due and necessary.
Below is the information on all the types of exams and the prices of each exams showing the individual fees.
NECO SSCE INTERNAL FEES
Schools (centres) are to register their candidates using the offline application before logging online to the NECO registration portal www.neco.gov.ng to effect payment of registration and other mandatory fees before uploading the candidates’ data.
The minimum number of candidates to be registered by a school for SSCE Internal is twenty (20). Any centre registering less than 20 candidates is deemed unviable.
Note: Registration cards will no longer be used with effect from 2019. Schools (Centres) are to log in to the NECO portal and pay the registration fees into the NECO TSA online using the payment options. Once payment is successful, the candidates’ data can be uploaded from the offline app and only then will exam numbers be generated for the candidates.
The following are the approved fees for the examination and other related items:
- Registration fees – 9,850.00 Naira (Mandatory fee)
- Late Registration – 1,000.00 Naira per candidate
- Photo album – 1,350.00 Naira per pair – (Mandatory fee)
- Syllabus – 1,200.00 Naira per copy
- Four figure table – 200.00 Naira per copy
- Unviable centre fee – 40,000.00 Naira (for centres that registered less than 20 candidates)
- Late submission of 3rd Year CA fee – 20,000.00 Naira (applies when centres submit their CA3 after the window has closed)

Another core component of the mandate of the Council as espoused in the Enabling law is the conduct of the Senior School Certificate Examination for External Candidates.

NECO BECE FEES
The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is the examination conducted for candidates in their final year of Junior Secondary School. It is used for transition from JSS 3 of the basic education class to the senior secondary school. While each state of the federation and the FCT conduct the BECE for their candidates, NECO conducts for Federal Unity Colleges and other allied institutions. Interested private secondary schools also take the examination, provided they are permitted by their States Ministries of Education. BECE certificate replaces the primary school certificate as the first school leaving certificate.
The BECE grading system is as follows:
A – Distinction
B – Upper Credit
C – Lower Credit
P – Pass
F – Fail

NECO NCEE FEES
The National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) is for admission into Junior Secondary School (JSS 1) of Federal Government Unity Colleges. Only Final year pupils of Primary Schools are eligible to write the exam.
Parents/Guardians are to pay the registration fee of 2,500 Naira before they can register their candidate .
