Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA)

The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) was founded in 1981 under a drive by the government of Nigeria to create universities that specialised in producing graduates with practical as well as theoretical knowledge of technologies. It is located in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State. The university has nine Schools:

  • School of Science (SOS)
  • School of Earth and Mineral Sciences (SEMS)
  • School of Environmental Technology (SET)
  • School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET)
  • School of Agricultural and Agricultural Technology (SAAT)
  • School of Management Technology (SMAT)

The school runs pre-degree science programs, Short-Term courses and University Advanced Basic Science programs.

Elizade University (ELIZADE)

Elizade University (E.U) is a private university in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State in Nigeria. It was founded by Micheal Ade Ojo. Federal University, Oye-ekiti (FUOYE)

Federal University Oye Ekiti, FUOYE is a government-owned and -operated Nigerian university. The university is in the ancient city of Oye-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti making it two campuses, The university was founded in 2011 as the Federal University Oye Ekiti by the federal government of Nigeria, led by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Faculties and Courses

Federal University Oye Ekiti offers undergraduate programmes in fields of specialization spanning agriculture, arts, management sciences, the social sciences, engineering, education and sciences.

The university has two campuses at Oye-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti and 7 Faculties with 53 Departments and a school of postgraduate studies, namely:

The Delta State University, Abraka – popularly known as DELSU – is a State government owned university in Nigeria with the main campus located at Abraka, Delta State and two campuses at Anwai, Asaba and Oleh. The Oleh campus was established with the 1995 Amended Edict.

Western Delta University (WDU)

Western Delta University (popularly referred to as WDU) is the brainchild of a group of Urhobo Scholars under the aegis of Urhobo Advancement Foundation (UAF) who saw the need for a privately financed university in the wetlands of Delta State of Nigeria.

Western Delta University is located in Oghara, Delta State, Nigeria. It was established in 2007 and is a private university.

Admission Requirements

Western Delta University admits students via JAMB UTME and Direct Entry into various courses. requirements for admission into Western Delta University are GCE O/Level, SSCE, NECO or NABTEB credit level passes in at least five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and one relevant science or social science subject obtained at not more than two sittings. Direct Entry candidates are expected to possess a good Diploma (with minimum of lower credit), NCE (with minimum of merit) from recognized institutions OR 2 Advanced Level GCE passes in relevant subjects.

Eastern Palm University (EPU)

Eastern Palm University is a Nigerian university that opened in 2017. The university was approved by the National Universities Commission in 2016 and became the 42nd state owned university and the 143 university in Nigeria. It was founded by former executive governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
